Hammer was established in 1990, a small Carrier with only one truck and today we operate over sixty units between our local and road operation. We have taken care to hire and maintain a strong fleet of Owner Operators. Safety and Service are our top priority.
Locally we provide service both door and cross-town in the Chicago land area seven days a week. Hammer’s road fleet operates six days a week, in twelve Mid West States ( to include: IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MI, MN, MO, NE, OH, TN, WI ) and also offer service to Port Norfolk, VA and Port Elizabeth, NJ ( rates upon request).
Both locally and road Hammer is a Bonded Dray men and Haz Mat Certified. All drivers are reachable via Nextel / private cell phone and locally with Nextel two-way communications.
In our equipment, we can provide Tri Axles, sliders, 8 pin and 40’ adjustable chassis.
Finally, Hammer has fully automated its Operations and Accounting functions which utilizes EDI. Hammer has completed full web site integration which allows customers to check load status, view and print documents, rates, e-mail, instant messaging and more right from our web site. We have also developed a proprietary Instant Message program which allows our customers private access to operations for instant information.
